25 Days of Christmas Decorations - Day #2 - An Accordion Christmas Tree Ornament

An Accordion Christmas Tree Ornament

As an advent gift to the readers of my blog, I will be posting Christmas decorations every day for the next 25 days.  I hope these Christmas decorations will brighten your day and bring joy to your home.

Today's decoration is an accordion Christmas tree ornament.  It is a simple design that young children can make. It is made by folding the paper and inserting a pipe cleaner through the center holes.  The hanger is made with six inches of thread.  A star and the thread hanger are sandwiched together at the top of the tree. Small beads can be thread onto the pipe cleaner between each fold for interest if you so desire.

Here is the PDF file.  I used 65 lb. cardstock.

Here is the .Studio file.

Here is the SVG.

Cut a 6 inch thread for the hanger and a approximately 5 inch pipe cleaner to thread through the center holes.

Squeeze the accordion tree together and thread the pipe cleaner though the holes.

Apply and adhere one side of the thread hanger to the star.

Glue the other side of the star to the front of the tree.  Once the glue has dried, glue and align both of the stars.

The accordion Christmas trees look very festive.
